About Steven:
Steven Sanchez was born and raised in California’s San Joaquin Valley where he completed his MFA in Creative Writing at Fresno State.  He is the author of Phantom Tongue (Sundress Publications, 2018), selected by Mark Doty as the winner of Marsh Hawk Press’ Rochelle Ratner Memorial Award.  He is also the author of two chapbooks, To My Body (Glass Poetry Press, 2016) and Photographs of Our Shadows (Agape Editions, 2017). A recipient of fellowships from CantoMundo and the Lambda Literary Foundation, his poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Poet Lore, Nimrod, Crab Creek Review, The Cossack Review, and Tinderbox Poetry Journal, among others.
